John “Tinker” Connelly Pavilion Dedication
Northeastern University dedicated the John “Tinker” Connelly Pavilion at Friedman Diamond on Saturday, May 16. Members of the Connelly family were joined by current Northeastern baseball head coach Mike Glavine (left), former head coach Neil McPhee (right), and a crowd of former players and fans. Connelly captained the 1952 Northeastern baseball team and coached at the university for more than 25 years. He led the Huskies to their first and only College World Series appearance in 1966. Connelly, DMSB’53, captained the 1952 Northeastern baseball team and coached at the university for more than 25 years.
