    Misinformation can have a negative effect on people, especially children. But it can also be dangerous. A 2020 joint survey from Harvard, Northwestern, Rutgers, and Northeastern universities found that people under age 25 were more likely to believe in COVID-19 misinformation than older people, regardless of political affiliation.
