Digital exhibit on Marathon bombing to visit Watertown this weekend
Boston.com - 01/22/2014
A digital crowd-sourced exhibit about last year’s Marathon Bombing and subsequent events will be available to locals at the Watertown Free Public Library this weekend.
The Boston Bombing Digital Archive, a crowd-sourced digital archive of stories, photos, video, and social media related to the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings and its aftermath, will be at the library Saturday, Jan. 25 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The archive is hosted and organized by Northeastern University group Our Marathon.
The event also serves as an opportunity for Watertown locals to share their own stories on the still-growing archive, and for project managers to formally introduce the archive to the community where alleged Marathon bombers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev engaged in a gunfight with police.
A separate room will be set up for anyone wishing to videotape and share their story, according to event organizers.
