  • A sneak peek at 15 of Boston’s 2014 commencement speakers

    BostInno - 03/27/2014

Despite the wintry weather we’re still experiencing, spring is actually around the corner, which means local universities have started thinking about this year’s graduation ceremonies.

Although several schools haven’t announced their commencement speakers yet, a few eager universities have recently released their choices for the 2014 ceremonies.

On Wednesday, Northeastern University announced Janet Napolitano will speak at commencement. In 2009, Napolitano became the first woman to serve as the secretary of homeland security and, in 2013, she became the first woman to serve as president of the University of California school system. She was ranked the eighth most powerful woman in the world by Forbes in 2012.
