A higher purpose lures them–heart and sole–to Boston’s sacred course

At least 11 members of the Northeastern community will be running the 126th Boston Marathon on Monday to raise money for a variety of charitable causes. Among them will be Samira Malik, who found in running “a belief in myself that I didn't have.”

In a rematch of last year’s NCAA semifinal, underdog Duluth stunned the No. 3 Huskies after 98 exhausting minutes in a semifinal at the Women’s Frozen Four. “They’ve accomplished so much,” said Northeastern coach Dave Flint. “They’ve left it all on the ice, and that's all I’ve ever asked of my team.”
