Celebrate graduation at CommencementFest by Joe O'Connell May 5, 2016 Share Facebook LinkedIn Twitter What better way for graduating students to spend the night before Commencement than with good food and tons of fun? CommencementFest 2016 will provide soon-to-be graduates and their guests one more chance to celebrate the students’ accomplishments before the big day on Friday. This free event, which is sponsored by the Office of Alumni Relations, will take place on Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Centennial Common. CommencementFest is happening rain or shine. Attendees can take a virtual tour of the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Complex at the Northeastern 360 booth, watch student group performances, and get their photos taken in front of a green screen. And don’t forget to visit the Class of 2016 timeline, which was created by graduating senior Julia Wilson, AMD’16, to highlight some of the big events that took place on during the past five years. Be on the lookout for Alumni Relations staff who will be taking over Northeastern’s Snapchat account during the festivities. While registration is not required it is highly recommended.
