Northeastern University announces dates for 2026 Boston commencement ceremonies
Ceremonies for the law school and doctor of philosophy graduates and the college celebrations will take place at either the Leader Bank Pavilion in Boston or at the Blackman Auditorium on Northeastern’s Boston campus.
Northeastern University will kick off its 2026 commencement week events on April 24, 2026 with ceremonies and celebrations for individual colleges, followed by commencement exercises at Fenway Park.
The commencements for the law school, Ph.D. graduates, College of Professional Studies, and celebrations for the university’s seven colleges will be held either at the Leader Bank Pavilion in Boston’s Seaport neighborhood or at the Blackman Auditorium on Northeastern’s Boston campus between April 24 and May 1.
Seating is ticketed general admission and on a first-come, first-served basis for these ceremonies. Space is limited. Ticket allotment will be available at a later date.
The week includes commencements and college celebrations surrounding the graduate and undergraduate commencement at Fenway Park on April 29.
Fenway Park, located a short distance from Northeastern’s Boston campus, will be the location for commencement exercises for the sixth year in a row in 2026. The park has been a popular venue for graduating students and their families. Each year, nearly 50,000 students, families and friends attend the ceremonies.
The graduate ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. and the undergraduate ceremony will be held at 4 p.m., rain or shine. Both ceremonies will be livestreamed.
Commencement ceremonies for the university’s network of global campuses will be announced at a later date.
