More than 2,000 students from 10 Boston area schools visited Northeastern on Wednesday afternoon to cheer on the women’s basketball team, as the Huskies took on the Harvard Crimson at Matthews Arena.

Northeastern hosted the students for its fourth annual Field Day. Many students donned red “Husky Nation” T-shirts for the occasion as they rooted on the home team from seats behind the baskets and along the sidelines. The Office of City and Community Affairs and Northeastern Athletics organized the event.

Despite a late run, the Huskies lost, 79-69.
