Faculty, staff reflect on Muhammad Ali and his Northeastern ties
Jack Grinold, Northeastern’s legendary sports information director, says watching the heavyweight champ’s training sessions at Matthews Arena in 1964 “were some of the most delightful afternoons I’ve ever spent.” In 1994, Ali received an honorary doctorate of public service from Northeastern.
