Women Who Empower: Our World

Communicating Across Cultures

Student can develop their intercultural communication skills by joining “Communicating Across Cultures,” a workshop provided by the Global Language & Culture Services. In today’s global workplaces, the capacity to engage with people from different cultural backgrounds is a critical skill. Participants in this virtual session will learn to examine communication strategies for different cultural contexts and apply them.

Habits of Success Wellness Wednesdays: Healthy Plate

Students can join the Student Support Initiative (SSI) and Habits of Success (HOS) for Wellness Wednesday. This session focuses on balanced meals and selecting healthy options, even in dining halls. Learn how to properly fuel your body. No RSVPs are required.

Virtual CO-OP Employer Panel: For Students Searching For CO-OP

Students can join Khoury College of Computer Sciences for a virtual co-op employer panel designed to assist students in their co-op search. Employers will engage in panel discussions to provide insights into career paths, job search strategies, resume tips, interview techniques (behavioral and technical), and what makes a candidate successful. This event is to help undergraduate students gain a valuable understanding of potential search resources and to allow employers to promote their companies and unique co-op opportunities.

Small Talk. Big Difference

Join us for “Small Talk. Big Difference,” where we discuss the art of small talk with Dr. Lucy Bunning. Students will have the chance to learn techniques for both opening and continuing a small talk conversation.
