Northeastern’s collaboration with students leads to new meal plans offering added flexibility, value and variety

Northeastern introduced new meal plans offering enhanced flexibility, value and variety, thanks to student-administrator collaboration. Available in Boston and Oakland, these plans replace the weekly system with a flexible semester-long approach and provide diverse options to meet students’ needs, aiming to improve the dining experience.

Northeastern remains school of choice for valedictorians of Boston public high schools

Northeastern was the top choice for Boston public school valedictorians, with 13 students enrolling this fall. Mayor Michelle Wu praised the valedictorians and the university’s support. The students say they’re drawn to Northeastern’s co-op program and academic opportunities.

Decades after his co-op, this Northeastern grad continues to support the experiential learning program that changed his life

Paul Gavin has maintained his support of Northeastern’s experiential learning program, which changed his life. His Four Gavin Brothers Experiential Learning Scholarship provides up to $5,000 for students who can’t afford these opportunities, helping them engage in co-ops, research and international dialogues.

From tutors to tax assistance, Northeastern’s Heart of CommUNITY awards honor civic leaders and volunteers

Northeastern’s Heart of CommUNITY awards honored four local organizations and individuals for their contributions, including food provision, creative writing education, tax assistance and innovative data presentation. Winners included 826 Boston, Dolores “Dolly” Boogdanian, Joane Guzman, and the Data Theatre Collaborative. Northeastern also awarded grants to 15 community organizations for local initiatives.

Meet the Northeastern co-op helping to upgrade the world’s largest particle accelerator at the European Organization for Nuclear Research

Christian Bernier, a Northeastern student, is assisting CERN in upgrading the Large Hadron Collider, the world’s largest particle accelerator. As a co-op particle physics research assistant, Bernier is developing software to test and ensure the long-term functionality of circuit boards for the Compact Muon Solenoid detector.
