Northeastern University is expanding to the Big Apple where it will open its fourteenth campus, to be called “Northeastern University — New York City,” officials announced Wednesday. 

Marymount Manhattan College, a small, private college on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, is merging with Northeastern University. The move adds a sought-after New York presence to Northeastern’s rapidly growing footprint and would establish its 14th campus.

Northeastern University is merging with Marymount Manhattan College in New York, the Boston college’s third such merger with a smaller school in the past five years. The merger with Marymount Manhattan, a small private liberal arts school, gives the Boston school a foothold in the country’s largest city.

Similarly a Northeastern University criminology and criminal justice professor, Nikos Passas, added that the scam artists likely knew that the auction of Graceland was going to fall through.

“It really comes down to dialogue. That’s the key,” says Jack McDevitt, a criminologist at Northeastern University in Boston. “You want to include the community in the decisions about how they are policed. You can give them feedback and really include them as an actual partner in your strategies.

Nikos Passas, a Northeastern University criminology and criminal justice professor, also told the AP the scammers likely knew that successfully auctioning off Graceland was impossible.

However, many aspects of the HR tech stack were not built with skills-based practices in mind. Recent research from Northeastern University found that most HR information systems are unable to meaningfully collect, structure, and use skills data.

But the business experience in the retail health clinic space has largely disappointed. That’s not a huge surprise to Timothy Hoff, professor of management health-care systems at Northeastern University. 

Some of the students plan to become cardiac surgeons, social workers, and software engineers. They will study such fields in the fall, with 12 of the 32 committed to attend Northeastern University, several with full scholarships.
