As Northeastern plans for the summer and the academic year ahead, we have an announcement regarding the summer COVID-19 testing requirements.
Summer 2021 Testing Requirements
Based on the best science available, current guidance from the CDC, Northeastern’s own testing data, and the insights of our faculty experts, Northeastern is instituting new testing requirements that will apply for the summer of 2021, beginning June 18, 2021. This guidance applies to all campuses where Northeastern requires regular COVID-19 testing.
Fully vaccinated individuals who require a negative COVID-19 test for university travel or a business-related activity may schedule tests as needed.
Update on Vaccination
Students who are fully vaccinated should complete the Self-Report COVID-19 Vaccination Form. If students are marked Primarily In-Person in the COVID-19 Test Scheduler, this will move them to their new testing cadence as described above. Everyone will have continued access to update the vaccination form again as plans or vaccination status change. The form is accessible any time on the Northeastern Wellness ServiceNow app or at vaccine.northeastern.edu.
Please note—students are required to be fully vaccinated before the start of the fall 2021 term. They will still need to submit proof of vaccination or request a medical or religious exemption through a separate process that will be announced later in June.
Thank you for all of your efforts to keep yourself—and our campus community—safe and healthy.
Sincerely,
Ken Henderson Chancellor and Senior Vice President for Learning
