What do they wish they knew when they were at the starting line that would have helped them pace themselves better during that important first lap? Jessica Ofurie Economics and Political Science “Find out about all the majors. I changed my major three times, starting out in international affairs, then changing to economics and eventually adding political science as a double major. It took me a while to figure out what major would create the most opportunities and be best for my ultimate goal, which is to go to law school.” Tommy Berotti Physical Therapy “When it comes to choosing your major, keep an open mind. Don’t commit to something right away. You never know what you might be interested in, so keep an open mind, take classes, meet new people, and everything will work out fine.” Lizzie Hark Accounting “Find your community. Northeastern is so big that it’s easy to get lost. There’s a community for everyone, but you have to take the initiative early to find the one that is best suited to you.” Kaustubh Chaudhari Graduate Student, information systems “Boston is a great city and Northeastern is a very diverse school. You get to meet a lot of people from different parts of the world and learn new things from them. I know I have–I hope they do, too. Northeastern also has very cool facilities like an amazing library and a great recreation center. They should take advantage of all of it.”
