Congratulations on wrapping up another week, Huskies! As we prepare for record-breaking winter weather this weekend, take a look at the latest — including a doctoral student who ran validation tests ahead of a NASA balloon launch. Plus, a graduate sculptor with an eclectic collection of masterpieces made of recycled materials created his own replicas of movie props, and an ambitious third-year undergraduate’s strict regimen showcased her dream to tackle six major marathons all over the world. Students from every corner of the university remained hard at work as the semester kicked off — and, if you’re looking for some inspiration for your New Year’s fitness goals, Northeastern Global News’ reporter showed off his workout routine at Squashbusters gym on the Boston campus.
