Despite occasional rain, Northeastern’s Boston campus buzzed with students soaking up the summer before fall classes. Notably, Kaiya Santos, a Northeastern studio art undergraduate student, emerged victorious in a contest to design a basketball court being renovated by the NBA star in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood. Meanwhile, Zhenghan Qi, an assistant professor for the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and the Department of Psychology, told Northeastern Global News about her upcoming study for this semester, researching the role statistical learning plays in the language development of autistic children.
