Dear Northeastern Boston-based community,

As renovations continue at our recreation facilities this summer, I am pleased to announce that parts of the Marino Center will reopen on Wednesday, June 28. Newly upgraded areas available to members of the Northeastern community include:

• Fitness Areas

• Main Locker Rooms

• Weight Room

Members of the Northeastern community may enter Marino Center through the main entrance on Huntington Avenue. Please note that due to ongoing construction in the facility, the basketball courts, all-gender locker room and atrium area will remain offline until further notice.

Hours of operation at Marino Center and SquashBusters Center are available by visiting the University Recreation website.

As a reminder, additional recreation offerings are also available on campus through:

  • Expansion of offerings in the Functional Training Space adjacent to SquashBusters
  • Open swim, open volleyball and open badminton in the Cabot Center
  • Open basketball on Solomon Court at the Cabot Center through July 9

Athletics and Recreation will provide regular updates throughout the summer, and I also invite you to visit the Northeastern University Recreation website and Instagram for schedule updates and additional recreation opportunities on campus.

Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation through this project.

Jim Madigan

Director of Athletics and Recreation
