Class of 2022, it’s your day.

The stands at Fenway Park will be filled with the fans of Northeastern’s 2022 graduates during their Commencement ceremonies at Boston’s famed baseball stadium on Friday, May 13.

Here’s everything graduates and their guests need to know to hit it out of the park.

When should I arrive?

Members of the Class of 2022 and their guests will attend either the graduate ceremony in the morning or the undergraduate ceremony in the afternoon. (All times are Eastern.)

The graduate ceremony officially begins at 10 a.m. and the procession begins at 8:40. Graduates must arrive by 7:30. Gates to the park will open for guests at 8 a.m.

The undergraduate ceremony officially begins at 5 p.m. and the procession at 3:40. Graduates must arrive by 2:30. Gates to the park will open for guests at the same time.

Separate ceremonies for the College of Professional Studies and the School of Law will take place next week. The College of Professional Studies will hold its Doctoral Hooding and Graduation Ceremony at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, and its Bachelor’s Completion and Master’s Graduation Ceremony at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 20. The School of Law Ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 20. All three ceremonies will be held in Matthews Arena.

The Doctor of Philosophy Hooding and Graduation Ceremony was held on Monday, May 9.

Where should I enter?

Graduates should enter Fenway Park at Gate B. Guests should enter at Gates A, D, or E.

Where can I park?

Complimentary parking is available on Northeastern’s Boston campus at the Columbus Parking Garage (795 Columbus Avenue) using the pass available online, here. The garage is about a mile from Fenway Park—students and their guests can walk or call a ride share.

Parking near Fenway Park is limited.

I don’t want to drive. How else can I get there?

From campus, Fenway Park is about a 1 mile walk.

The venue is also accessible via the MBTA: Take the D branch of the Green Line to the Fenway stop, then it’s a short walk to the park. You can also take the B or C branch Green Line trains to Kenmore and follow signs to Fenway Park. The E branch of the Green Line does not go to Fenway Park.

What can I bring?

Make sure to have your ticket with you at the gate. Graduates must wear their cap and gown.

Don’t bring a bag: With the exception of diaper bags, medical items, and bags 5″x9″x2″ or smaller, bags are prohibited at the ballpark. Flowers and balloons are also not permitted inside Fenway Park. Graduates may wear Hawaiian leis. More details can be found on the venue’s security website.

Guests may bring one unopened, clear, disposable plastic water bottle through security. Water will be available for purchase in the park, and Fenway Park concessions will be open before the start of each ceremony. Fenway Park concessions only accept credit cards.

The outdoor ceremonies will proceed rain or shine. You can find the forecast here

Where else can I watch the ceremony?

Each graduating student has been allotted six guest tickets for the live ceremony. For those who cannot attend in person, the ceremonies will also be streamed live on the university’s Commencement page and on the Northeastern Facebook page as well.

Full coverage of all Commencement activities by News@Northeastern can also be found on its dedicated Commencement page, which will be updated throughout the day.
