Watch: Northeastern and Boston unite to celebrate reopening of historic Carter Playground

The historic William E. Carter Playground was officially re-opened by Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh and Northeastern President Joseph E. Aoun. Northeastern committed $108 million to renovations and maintenance of the 6.5-acre state-of-the-art park, which features two full-length fields, five tennis courts and a “tot lot” with equipment for children with disabilities that was dedicated to graduate Victoria McGrath, who was injured in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing and died in a tragic accident overseas in 2016.
