Here’s a roundup of food news and Northeastern Dining events and programs scheduled for the fall semester: Where and when to get food Visit the Northeastern Dining website to find Dining Services’ hours of operation for the Fall 2015 semester. Fall 2015 meal plans and dining dollars became accessible on Aug. 30, and students can add or change their plans via myNEU. Below is a full campus Dining Services map (click for closer view): Our campus’ newest dining location is… …Café Crossing. Located in the former Peet’s Coffee & Tea and Jamba Juice space on Tremont Street next to the International Village dining hall, this dining spot will feature sandwiches and bowls. Café Crossing will also serve Starbucks coffee and tea. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Use your smartphone Starting this semester, students will be able to use their smartphones to scan into the International Village, Levine Marketplace, and Stetson West dining locations. Students must download the CBORD MobileID app (Apple or GooglePlay) and register their phones through the Husky Card preferences link on myNEU. Also, visitors to the Starbucks in afterHOURS in the Curry Student Center will now be able to scan their Starbucks app to pay at the register. Photo by Maria Amasanti/for Northeastern University Xhibition Kitchen Last year, Northeastern’s Xhibition Kitchen celebrated its 10th anniversary in style, and this year Northeastern Dining has once again prepared a delectable slate of events. The first XK event of the fall semester is Wednesday, Sept. 30, and features Avi Shemtov, author of The Single Guy Cookbook. The event, which begins at noon, will feature a free cooking demo and cookbook signing. The Xhibition Kitchen events include hosting Michael Symon, a James Beard Foundation Award winner and co-host of ABC’s “The Chew” (Oct. 4), the Brass Sisters (Oct. 7), and local chefs and stars of Bravo’s “Top Chef” Stacy Cogswell (Oct. 14) and Kristin Kish (Nov. 4). XK will also host the annual Great Pumpkin Carving Contest Pumpkin Patch on Oct. 16 and the Gingerbread Construction Contest Gingerbread Village 2015 on Dec. 11.
