Weekly Webcrawl: September 13, 2013

It’s that time of the week again! And we have much to celebrate, other than it being Friday…

The sad blobfish was once again named the world’s ugliest animal. Poor guy. Photo by Thales Rocha Photo, via Wikimedia Commons.

FIRST: The blobfish!!

SECOND: Voyager 1 made it to the outer galaxy on August 25th! We’re just finding out about it today because a) it took so long for the data to make it all the way back to earth, and b) research embargoes.

THIRD: As of today, Richard Feynman’s Lectures on Physics are now available to all, free online! Just in time for some light weekend reading.

FOURTH: Nature’s first known natural gears help this little bugger walk!
