Pie for Pi Day by Brooks Canaday March 14, 2013 Share Facebook LinkedIn Twitter Students in the Society of Physics indulged in pie during a group meeting this week in advance of “Pi Day” – a nod to March 14 – or 3.14. Those are the first three digits of Pi, the mathematical constant denoting the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. On Thursday, March 14, Northeastern’s Resident Student Association is involved in two “Pi Day” related events: a “Pi Dye” at noon on the Freshman Quad outside Stetson East, where students can tie dye a t-shirt; and an Xhibition Kitchen event co-sponsored by NUDining that features a cooking demo with comedian and baker Bertha Mason at 6:30 p.m. Photo by Brooks Canaday.
