    Northeastern journalism students uncovered stories about Cuba, created compelling animation composites, and highlighted the disadvantages of a desegregation program in Boston’s public schools. They were recognized with nine student Emmy awards.

    Judy Perry Martinez, president-elect of the American Bar Association, urged graduates of Northeastern’s School of Law to think about their legacy as lawyers before they begin their professional journeys.     NASA wants to put astronauts on Mars. These students are designing the rovers.


    Astronauts are going to need rovers to help with technical and scientific tasks when they get to the Red Planet. Northeastern students have designed a prototype, and will be competing in the University Rover Challenge at the Mars Desert Research Center in Utah at the end of May.

    Eight Northeastern law students are volunteering at the United States southern border to help asylum seekers explain why they would face persecution if they were to return home. The law students are using a manual designed by their peers to help guide them through the experience.
