As August nears, Northeastern has planned a range of activities to cater to the diverse interests of undergraduates students. Here’s a preview of those events, as well as important dates.

Watch Olympic Soccer Matches at the CIE

Mock Interviews – CommLab Drop-In Workshops

Students can join the CommLab any Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. for the mock interview workshop. The workshop is tailored toward programming jobs, and prior coding knowledge is expected. Boost your problem-solving confidence for interviews by building your speaking skills while solving programming problems.

Poster Design and Presentation: CommLab Drop-In Workshops

We will host drop-in workshops for poster design and presentation, focusing on crafting the best visual communication of your research and telling students’ research stories. Techniques will be discussed to help implement communication strategies to successfully showcase your work. Whether you’re just starting off or refining your final poster, we are here to assist you.

Whale Watching Tour

Join us as we set sail to witness one of the most incredible creatures known to humankind: whales! This exciting boat tour offers a unique opportunity to experience these majestic animals in their natural habitat.

Summester Day Trip: Six Flags Adventure

We are ending our Summester’s day trip series on a high note with a thrilling adventure to Six Flags. Tickets include bus transportation from Northeastern’s Boston campus to Six Flags and back, amusement park and water park admission and a meal voucher.

Writing Professional Emails

Students can join us for the Writing Professional Emails workshop, designed to deepen your understanding of the role email plays in professional contexts. As we explore tools for written communication, we will focus on email communication and practice writing emails.

Drum Circle with Wakan Wiya Two Spirit Drum

All students are welcome to join us for our ongoing campus drum circles and learn this traditional healing and wellness way. Healing Drum Circles with the Wakan Wiya Two Spirit Drum and drum keeper Zamora are a chance to tap into collective healing, prayer and meditation work through the heartbeat.

Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum Experience

Students can take part in a purely Bostonian experience! At the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, students engage in interactive exhibits, explore historical artifacts, and relive the moments that sparked the American Revolution.

First Annual Week of Service

Please join the College of Science for the first annual Week of Service — a week to collaborate, engage with our surrounding neighborhoods and communities, and use our privileges and abilities to support and uplift all.
