Live updates: 72nd annual men’s Beanpot semifinals
The Huskies, winners of five of the last six titles, will play the top-ranked Eagles at 8 p.m. with the winner facing BU in the final.
Tiger Woods wears red on Sundays to win golf tournaments and the Northeastern men’s hockey team wears red to win the Beanpot.
The Huskies have won four straight Beanpot games — and two straight championships — all wearing red.
Tonight’s jersey color against Boston College — red, of course.
Northeastern beat BU, 3-1, and Harvard, 3-2, in OT in 2003. Last year, the Huskies beat Harvard, 3-2, and BU, 4-3, both games in OT.
Northeastern wore its black jerseys during its last Beanpot defeat, a 1-0 loss to BU in the 2022 final.
