    ‘This was a unique time to use my passion’


    Maura Eaton, a doctoral student of physical therapy, and her classmates took wheelchairs and ankle and foot braces, among other supplies, to one orphanage in Ecuador. They provided physical therapy at another, where they also evaluated and treated pediatric patients. Eaton’s achievements have earned her an Outstanding Graduate Student Award in Leadership.

    Northeastern Department of Physical Therapy is bringing more than 80 volunteers to stretch, and massage thousands of riders at the halfway point of the Pan Mass Challenge, a bike race in Massachusetts that raises money for cancer research.
