    The future of Maine is now with first Roux Institute at Northeastern graduates


    PORTLAND, Maine—The inaugural class of the Roux Institute at Northeastern walked the Commencement stage on Friday. President Joseph E. Aoun, as well as the institute’s founders, Maine’s governor, and Portland’s mayor, offered words of encouragement during a ceremony focused on the future of Maine and Northeastern’s entrepreneurial endeavors.

    Four Afghan women weren’t allowed to continue their studies when their country fell to the Taliban. Through tears and laughs, they describe the anguish of leaving family behind coupled with the joy of continuing their education at Northeastern.
