Dear Northeastern Students, Families, and Friends:
As all of you know, next week we’ll be celebrating Family & Friends Weekend, October 22-24!
We’re excited to be welcoming over 4,500 registered students, families, and friends. In our continuing commitment to the health and safety of the Northeastern community, we are requiring all guests aged 12 and older who attend campus indoor events to present proof of full vaccination or provide a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours of the event.
Here is what this means for Family and Friends weekend:
1.All registered guests* are required to present one of the following forms of documentation:
*Those 11 years old and under are not required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative test result. Northeastern students, faculty, and staff only need to show their NU ID to receive a wristband. No additional documentation is needed.
2.In accordance with the City of Boston’s indoor mask mandate, all guests over the age of 2, regardless of vaccination or COVID-19 negative test status, are required to wear a mask that completely covers their nose and mouth at all times. Masks can only be removed indoors when actively eating or drinking as permitted. Speakers who are presenting or teaching may also remove their masks when presenting or teaching.
3. Guests who choose not to comply with the COVID-19 Policy can request to have purchased tickets refunded for resale. This request must be placed in writing by 5:00 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, October 20, 2021.
4. Verification of documentation will take place at Family & Friends Check-in, in the Curry Student Center Indoor Quad. Once verified, all guests will receive a wristband that must be worn in order to access scheduled indoor sessions, sporting events and dining halls. Early next week, all registered guests will receive a confirmation with additional check-in and program details, as well as parking instructions.
If you have not registered for Family & Friends Weekend and would still like to attend, you can do so on-site. For those unable to join us on campus, look forward to receiving an email with livestream viewing information.
Thank you in advance for your compliance and for supporting a healthy campus and city! Don’t hesitate to contact us if we can be of any assistance to you.
Sincerely,
