Professor: Trump’s new Cuba policy will hurt island nation’s growing middle class
President Trump unveiled new restrictions on trade and travel with Cuba on Friday, saying that he was “canceling” the Obama administration’s “completely one-sided deal” with the island nation. Professor Jose Buscaglia, a Caribbean scholar who played a key role in establishing Northeastern’s partnerships in Cuba, says the new measures will “take the wind out of the sails of people who are changing the country for the better.”
