The number of serial killers has been on the decline since the '70s and '80s, when recognizable names like Jeffrey Dahmer and Ted Bundy wreaked havoc.

We spoke with Northeastern's James Alan Fox, a serial murder expert, to understand the reasons behind the decline and what he thinks about the "possible serial killer" claims in New England.
