Flowers rest on a plaque memorializing Northeastern student Candace Lee Williams who lost her life during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Candace was 20 years old and had just started her third year at Northeastern when she died aboard American Airlines Flight 11 that was hijacked and crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City. The memorial stone is located between Ell Hall and the D’Amore-McKim School of Business on Northeastern’s Boston campus.
