On Feb. 20, faculty and staff can watch the Huskies square off against the College of Charleston — on the house.

What’s happening?

Northeastern Athletics will host the Men’s Basketball Teacher Appreciation Game at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, at Matthews Arena. The team will play the Charleston Cougars. Admission is free for Northeastern employees.

How can I get tickets?

Visit the events page on the Athletics tickets page and log in with your Northeastern credentials, or create an account, for one complimentary ticket. Additional tickets for non-Northeastern guests can be purchased at a discounted group rate.

What should I know before going?

The arena is easily accessible by train; attendees can also park in the Northeastern-owned garage on Columbus Avenue for free up to two hours before the game. Large backpacks and duffel bags over 12” by 12” are prohibited, as are outside food and drink, laser pointers and noisemakers.

Tell me more about the team.

The Division I Huskies are 13-12 so far this season, ranked eighth in the Coastal Athletic Association conference. The heart of the team is a strong junior class, led by guards Masai Troutman and Harold Woods. Coach Bill Cohen, in his 19th season with the team, is the all time-winningest coach in CAA conference history.

Will Paws be there?

Yes.
