Northeastern University Professor and Bornstein Senior Fellow of International Business Ravi Ramamurti has been selected by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) to help prepare its World Investment Report 2008. Ramamurti will attend a brainstorming session being held by the UNCTAD Division on Investment, Technology and Enterprise Development in Geneva, Switzerland on September 19^th and 20^th where participants will discuss the conceptual and empirical framework, structure and content of UNCTAD’s forthcoming World Investment Report 2008: FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) in Infrastructure (WIR08).

“It is an honor to be selected for such a task,” said Ramamurti. “The subject of foreign direct investment in infrastructure is of vital importance to the emerging economies and the global economy. It is a fitting theme for WIR 08.”

Ramamurti is one of approximately a dozen advisors around the world selected based on their scholarly standing and expertise in the subject matter being examined. He will be asked to share his experience and comments with the UNCTAD team and his participation will be acknowledged in the final report.
