The Boston Unity Cup — a three-week soccer tournament — kicked off last weekend. Forty soccer teams representing 34 countries came together on Northeastern’s Boston campus to celebrate their shared love for the sport and the city’s diversity. On Thursday, Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu and other officials visited Northeastern’s Boston campus to learn from university professors how artificial intelligence can solve some of the most pressing issues in the state — and the world. Meanwhile, Cooper and Sarge had a puppy playdate with the children in Northeastern’s Word Detectives reading program.
