For the fourth year in a row, iconic Fenway Park will be home to commencement exercises for Northeastern University’s Boston campus.
Both graduate and undergraduate students from the class of 2024 will have ceremonies on Sunday, May 5.
The graduate ceremony will take place on Fenway’s outfield at 10 a.m., while the undergraduate ceremony will follow at 4 p.m.
Commencements will also be held for Northeastern’s global network of campuses, the law school, Ph.D. graduates and College of Professional Studies, in addition to celebrations by each of the university’s seven colleges.
The full schedule for those events is below.
Fenway Park, located a short distance from Northeastern’s Boston campus, has been a popular venue for graduating students and their families. Each year, nearly 50,000 students, families and friends attend the commencement exercises.
The 2024 commencement will celebrate the graduating class and Northeastern’s 125th anniversary.
“As we celebrate our thriving university’s 125th birthday, how fitting that we will do so at the iconic Fenway Park, itself just a few years younger than Northeastern!” says David Madigan, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Northeastern. “It promises to be a wonderful and joyous occasion, rain or shine!”
Eligible graduating students should look for the “Apply to Graduate” application link in their Northeastern email in late October. More details as they become available can be found at commencement.northeastern.edu.
