In July, the university added Mills College at Northeastern to its global university system. In August, a campus in Arlington, Virginia, was launched. And in December, a 14th campus in Miami was announced. News was also made in London where Northeastern became the first U.S.-based institution of higher learning to be granted “university title.” Meanwhile, plans for a permanent home for the Roux Institute moved forward in Portland, Maine. We expanded our global university system Northeastern expands to Miami. University’s 14th campus will focus on tech, finance and health Northeastern will launch its newest campus next year in Miami, a move that will bring the university’s signature experiential learning model to the rapidly growing economy of South Florida. Beginning in 2011, the university has built a growing global system of campuses designed to meet the talent and research needs of regional economies across North America and in the United Kingdom.
