It was a point of pride for Northeastern this month when professor Jerome F. Hajjar was elected to the prestigious National Academy of Engineering. He joins a class of newly elected members that includes Satya Nadella, chairman and chief executive officer of Microsoft; Noubar Afeyan, co-founder and chairman of Moderna; and Elon Musk, founder and chief executive officer of SpaceX.

In sports, the men’s hockey team lost a squeaker in the Beanpot finals, dashing hopes for a fourth consecutive title. Meanwhile, several members of the Huskies men’s and women’s hockey teams had an impressive showing at the winter Olympics in Beijing.

February also saw Wordle catch fire. We let you in on how to win at it. On the topic of words, a Northeastern student made it to the finals of Jeopardy! National College Championship.
