This year’s Homecoming Week will take place from Sunday, Nov. 7 to Saturday, Nov. 13. Check out what’s happening across campus.

Homecoming paint corner

Join the Center for Student Involvement for painting with step-by-step instructions from an artist. Session one will be painting a Husky, and session two will be painting the Boston skyline. Paint supply kits will be provided. Paint on Sunday, Nov. 7, at 12 p.m. or 2 p.m. EST in the Curry Student Center Ballroom.

Sunday by The Fire

Hosted by the Center for Student Involvement and Green Line Records, visit Robinson Quad to hear live music. Insomnia Cookies and hot cocoa will be served on Sunday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. EST.


 Homecoming tailgate

Join the Center for Student Involvement, Resident Student Association, and Student Government Association for food, Paws the Husky, and sign-making to prepare for the Men’s Hockey game versus Harvard College. Find the tailgate on Monday, Nov. 8, at 4 p.m. EST at the indoor quad at the Curry Student Center.


Cupcakes with the candidates

Stop by the ballroom in the Curry Student Center during the tailgate for cupcakes. Students can meet the candidates for Mayor of Huntington Avenue. Join the Student Alumni Ambassadors and the candidates on Monday, Nov. 8, at 4 p.m. EST.


Men’s hockey: Northeastern University  vs. Harvard College

Cheer on the men’s hockey team on Monday, Nov. 8, at Matthews Arena at 7 p.m. EST.

Homecoming Hidden Huskies 

See a Husky poster on campus? Return it to Curry Crossroads for a prize and a chance to win a raffle prize from the Center for Student Involvement. The scavenger hunt will run on Tuesday, Nov. 9, from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. EST.


The Homecoming Festival

Join the Center for Student Involvement for an evening of games, food trucks, karaoke, and giveaways. The carnival will take place in the Curry Student Center indoor quad and ballroom, and Robinson Quad and tents. The fun will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 6 p.m. EST.


Husky Spirit Day party

Wear red and black and bring your Husky spirit to the Husky Spirit Day Party in the library quad on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. EST. There will be giveaways, special appearances, music, photo ops, and more.


2021 Comedy Festival

Northeastern’s signature annual Homecoming Headliner event, presented by the Council for University Programming, will take place in Matthews Arena. The 2021 Comedy Festival features Ali Wong and Jonathan Van Ness. Laugh along on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 8 p.m. EST.

Homecoming “Breakfast Club” clean-up

Help keep the Mission Hill, Lower Roxbury, and Fenway communities clean and volunteer with the Breakfast Club litter clean-ups. Northeastern students: wear red and black. Fill up trash bags, with volunteers treated to coffee and donuts by the off-campus student Community Ambassadors. Join the clean-up crew on Thursday, Nov. 11, at 10:30 a.m. EST. Lunch will be provided afterward.

Veterans Day ceremony

The Northeastern community honors service members at a ceremony held at the Northeastern University Veterans Memorial. Medal of Honor recipient Staff Sgt. Ryan Pitts, U.S. Army, will be the featured speaker. This year, the ceremony will also celebrate the 70th anniversary of Northeastern’s ROTC program. The ceremony will take place on Thursday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. EST.

Lifeboat Boston Community Market volunteering

Lifeboat Boston Community Market is a food pantry that provides fresh, nutritious food to anyone experiencing food insecurity. Northeastern students can sign up to volunteer on Thursday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. at 105 Jersey Street, Boston.

NU Mutual Aid Free Store

NU Mutual Aid and other campus organizations are collecting clothing donations for their Free Store event. The Free Store will be collecting donations of co-op and winter clothing for Northeastern community members. Volunteers are needed to transport donations, set up, organize clothing, ensure fair distribution, and clean up after. The Free Store will be open on Thursday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. EST at Curry Student Center 333.

Athletics Hall of Fame ceremony

The Hall of Fame ceremony will be held at Blackman Auditorium on Thursday, Nov. 11, at 7:30 p.m. EST.


Late Night @ Northeastern

The Center for Student Involvement, RSA, and SGA invites Northeastern students to eat late-night snacks and get drawn by caricature artists. Meal swipes will be used, with a limited amount of passes for graduate students. The event will take place in Levine Marketplace in Stetson East on Friday, Nov. 12, at 9 p.m. EST.


2020 Commencement Celebration

Commencement will be held in Matthews Arena on Saturday, Nov. 13.
