The LSCC hosts its annual Toy Drive in conjunction with the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Also working with the Hildebrand Family Self-Help Center of Cambridge, which assists homeless families move towards overcoming homelessness. Staff Photo by Matthew Modoono Northeastern University students, faculty, and staff have organized a number of collection drives for toys, books, clothing, food, and toiletries to help people in need this holiday season. Here’s a list of campus drives and how you can contribute: The Center for Spirituality, Dialogue, and Service is collecting food, clothing and toiletries through Nov. 30 at 5 p.m. and then distributing the goods in care packages to Boston’s homeless on Dec. 5. Please drop off the goods—including bottled water, hand sanitizer, and socks, as well as crackers, deodorant, and gloves—to the center’s office in 203 Ell Hall. All hats must be dropped off at the Speech-Language and Hearing Center in room 503 of the Behrakis Health Sciences Center by Dec. 4. The Latino/a Student Cultural Center is partnering with Hildebrand Family Self-help Center of Cambridge, Massachusetts, to make holiday wishes come true for more than four dozen children and young adults. To sponsor a child, contact Rosa Torres at 617.373.5845 or LSCC@neu.edu. All gifts must be dropped off at the Latino/a Student Cultural Center at 104 Forsyth St. by Dec. 11. The Russell J. Call Children’s Center is sponsoring a drive for new and gently-used baby blankets and coats up to size 5T. The drive will benefit Room to Grow, a local nonprofit dedicated to enriching the lives of babies born into poverty.
