Swinging away for local youth

On Tuesday, Northeastern University hosted Boston Red Sox third baseman Kevin Youkilis for a baseball clinic at Parsons Field in Brookline. Several retired baseball greats joined Youkilis for the event, dubbed the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Legends Youth Clinic.Nearly 200 youths from local organizations and little league groups from Jamaica Plain, Mission Hill, Brookline and the South End attended the clinic. There, the players imparted stories and advice about the sport, ran drills, signed autographs and joined the youths for lunch. Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association, Longwood Giving and Longwood Events’ State Room and Veronique venue spaces, Youks’ Kids, Life is Good, Rawlings, Polar Beverages, Pirate’s Booty, Qdoba and Not Your Average Joe’s.
