Hot spots for java

Yesterday we asked our Facebook fans to tell us where they get their morning jolt of java. Turns out the answer is: everywhere.

The majority of our correspondents told us Dunkin’ Donuts coffee is their favorite fix —not surprising, given that the campus swims on a sea of Dunkin’ java. There are outlets in Shillman and Richards halls, in the Ruggles MBTA station, and on Huntington and Massachusetts avenues and Tremont Street.

But other commercial brewers bubbled up: Starbucks (Curry Student Center) and Au Bon Pain (Marino Recreation Center) got honorable mentions among our campus kaffeeklatsch.

Still others said home brew is best — “home” defined liberally as residence halls, co-op employers’ offices and, in one researcher’s case, his Northeastern laboratory.
