Northeastern Hosts Author Dr. Ruth Nemzoff as part of Library Series

WHO/WHAT:

Northeastern University’s “Meet the Author” series welcomes author and educator Dr. Ruth Nemzoff.

Nemzoff will discuss her guide, Don’t Bite Your Tongue, which offers strategies for parents on maintaining close relationships with their grown children. To have a rewarding relationship, Nemzoff says parents must become an active part of their children’s lives while still respecting them enough to make their own choices. Nemzoff comes to Northeastern as part of Parents’ Weekend Programming.

Don’t Bite Your Tongue is recognized by Jim Roosevelt, CEO of Tufts Health Plan and Ann Roosevelt, co-founder of the Massachusetts League of Environmental Voters, for providing parents with a “groundbreaking book on how to foster parent-adult child closeness.”

Creating an active long distance relationship and discussing financial issues will help parents strengthen their relationship with their childen, Nemzoff says.

“You will laugh and cry as you recognize yourself in these pages, but most of all, you and your adult children will learn how to have a loving and supportive relationship,” Jim and Ann Roosevelt say.
