Revolutionary Ideas Conference held from July 23-27, 2008

What: The Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), a global network of more than 7,000 business owners, is hosting the annual 2008 EO University in Boston. EO was founded to promote growth and learning among entrepreneurs by working together. More than 200 international participants are expected to take part in the event.

During the conference, Northeastern University will be hosting an off-site learning experience for the 2008 EO University participants about the opportunities for business in various areas of technology.

In 2004, Northeastern created the first free-standing School of Technological Entrepreneurship in the country and has been a leader in creating business opportunities within the field of technology.

Who: Three professors from Northeastern will be on hand to discuss business opportunities within three different areas of emerging technology, including:

• Nanotechnology – presented by Ahmed Busnaina, Ph.D. – Director, Northeastern’s Center for High-rate Nanomanufacturing
• Creative Industries – presented by Anthony Di Ritis, M.M., M.B.A., Ph.D.– Director of Northeastern’s Multimedia Studies Program and Chair for the Department of Music
• Global Product Development – Tucker Marion, Ph.D., Assistant Professor in Northeastern’s School of Technological Entrepreneurship
