Local resident Agnes Alford tried digging out her car on Thursday night, but the frigid temperatures and fatigue got the better of her. On Friday, she tried again. “I almost just left it today too, but I need my car,” she said. So, when a swarm of bundled-up Northeastern students, carrying shovels and road salt, descended on her sedan and made quick work of its icy cocoon, Alford was overjoyed.
