$590M opioid settlement ‘doesn’t seem like very much’ for Native Americans
A recent class-action settlement has been hailed as a historic victory for Native Americans, who have been devastated by the drug crisis. But Natalee Kēhaulani Bauer, ethnic studies program director at Mills College at Northeastern University, says the terms of the $590 million agreement provides little aid to populations that have suffered more than most.
