Northeastern to host hurricane relief fundraiser for University of the Virgin Islands
The University of the Virgin Islands was rattled by hurricanes Irma and Maria. A fundraiser to benefit its students, faculty, and staff will be held on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Northeastern’s Alumni Center. The goal is to raise $20,000 for essential supplies, says event organizer Sandra King, former vice president of marketing at Northeastern and now a marketing strategist for STKing Associates LLC.
