COVID-19 Wellness team
“I don’t see the benefit of compromising academic life. By having [students] in the system with testing and contact tracing, that protects them and keeps their life going,” says Sehyo Yune, director of Northeastern’s wellness team. “As long as we keep this system in place, the university is not a petri dish like people have said before.”
Northeastern built out its own contact tracing program under Sehyo Yune, director of the COVID-19 Wellness team. The information collected, which allows the university to respond nimbly to prevent an outbreak, is used only in the interest of public health. Protecting individual privacy is a priority.
