Freshman-year essay leads student to backstage meeting with Dave Matthews
Three years ago, James Serra wrote an essay for a freshman writing course about Dave Matthews’ music and its influence on his own life and musical pursuits. This summer, Serra met Matthews’ backstage, all thanks to that very same essay. We talked with Serra about meeting his idol and how it all happened.
