An estimated 7.5 million U.S. adults became new gun owners over a recent 28-month span, raising a number of risks, according to new research by Matt Miller, a professor of health sciences and epidemiology at Northeastern. “The reality is [gun ownership] makes everyone in the home, on average, much, much less safe,” he says.
