An unconventional health office that has no walls was set up in the Main South neighborhood of Murray Avenue earlier this week.

Project Health Moves, a program of Health Innovations, which uses Northeastern University in Boston’s Health In Motion Van, camped out on the street all day Tuesday

The program brought 11 Northeastern nursing students, nurses and health educators to the neighborhood to provide HIV tests, screenings for sexually transmitted diseases and viral hepatitis C, immunizations, and support for referrals to meet patients’ needs.

The staff saw 84 people, some of them uninsured immigrants and refugees, said Catherine O’Connor, the clinical director of Health Innovations who teaches public health at Northeastern.
